Personalised Meetings:
Simple ceremonies may only require one personal meeting. This might last a couple of hours as we get to know each other and work together on how we can turn your vision for your ceremony into a clear plan. We will ask you questions about your family history and relationships in as far as they are relevant to how you want to express your thoughts, feelings, gratitude and hopes for the future.
Longer or more complex ceremonies, and those with an extensive guest list which might require a lot of logistical planning, might require two or three meetings, and we will definitely recommend a full rehearsal before a big event couples' ceremony.
Meetings will be followed up by video or telephone calls to discuss any necessary fine-tuning before the day. We will also send you email prompts if we need you to write your vows or find readings or music or if you have plans to incorporate any other special aspects of the ceremony.
Ceremony Design
Every Mira Belle ceremony starts from a blank canvas and is designed to be completely unique to you. It will be based on your specific blend of personality, ethics, beliefs, values, vision, wishes and hopes for the future.
Assistance with Expressions
Not everyone finds it easy to express their emotions. Using a very light touch, we may offer to guide you to find the words, music or actions which will align with the heartfelt expressions you wish to communicate to your loved ones.
If you request more assistance, we can help you to write your vows, find readings and poems that voice your thoughts and suggest music which might enhance your ceremony.
We will also explain the traditionally used rituals which are often embedded into ceremonies or help you to creatively devise your own.
Printed Enhancements
Each Mira Belle ceremony will include an order of ceremony and a souvenir script. We can also provide commemorative certificates which can be signed during the ceremony whilst your photographer takes that classic signing certificate photo.
Venue and Wedding or Celebration Planner Liaison
Mira Belle Ceremonies will contact your venue and your celebration planner a couple of weeks before your ceremony to ensure that all plans are in place and aligned for your ceremony. At your rehearsal our celebrant will meet with both your venue manager and your planner to walk through all the logistics related to your ceremony. We will pay special attention to ensure that any special needs that you have identified for you or your guests have been planned to be fully catered for.
If your ceremony is planned to take place in an outdoor space such as a garden or beach, we will visit the location with you as soon as possible and discuss logistics as well as bad-weather contingency. Again, any guests with special needs will be fully considered at this stage.
Conducting the Ceremony
Mira Belle Celebrants will always arrive at least 2 hours before every ceremony. This will give us time to ensure that everything is in place and working so that your ceremony will run smoothly. We will assist your host in making sure that your guests are all properly welcomed and helped to become comfortable as they arrive. The ceremony itself will be conducted and co-ordinated by your celebrant entirely so that all other guests and attendees are free to relax and enjoy this most meaningful element of your celebration. Shortly after the ceremony ends your celebrant will say goodbye and leave you to enjoy your celebrations.
Travel costs
Your celebrant will calculate additional travel costs, including any flights, taxis or car mileage needed to attend all meetings, venue visits, rehearsals and ceremonies. Car mileage is charged at the standard rate mileage, which is currently 45 pence per mile. Any additional travel costs will be discussed and agreed before the deposit is taken for the booking.
Hotel and meal costs
All accommodation and meals needed for our celebrants to attend remote locations will be agreed upon, booked and paid for by the client before the ceremony.
Additional costs
Symbolic ceremonies
If symbolic or ritualistic elements of the ceremony require equipment which is supplied by the celebrant, there will be a small additional cost for these. This could include handfasting ribbons, flowers and greenery. candles, coloured sand, marriage cups, letters and cards.
We will agree to any additional costs in advance, and these will be detailed in the contract agreement.
